Bese idau-idau vada na negedia daure, edia maḡu vada eme heḡiḡi dobi; edia ariara vada na havahudia, bena ta ese se raka-rakalaidiamu; edia hanua iboudiai vada e hahevahu, asi tauna ta lalodiai; ta ese se noholaidiamu.
I have cut off nations. Their battlements are desolate. I have made their streets waste, so that no one passes by. Their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, so that there is no inhabitant.
